We are delighted to announce that Jersey Rugby Football Club’s chosen charity for 2015/16 is JAAR. JRFC will be holding a very special fundraising day for JAAR on Saturday 10th October. The visiting team that day will be Bedford and our boys will be lining up in special JAAR branded shirts.
Please come and watch the game it will be a great event and we are extremely proud to be associated with such successful team.
We are looking for an Office Manager.
Paid Position: Office Manager reporting directly to the Chairperson - Flexible hours - 35 hours per week
Brief Description of Activities: To provide support for survivors of rape and sexual assault in Jersey and their families by, amongst other things, establishing and maintaining a supporting framework that includes a dedicated helpline, website and trained counsellors. To educate the general public on the facts and myths surrounding rape and the extreme trauma suffered by survivors of rape and sexual abuse. This will include being aware of and advising others of the latest thinking, research and treatments available to a survivor and their confidants
Description of Duties: The role involves:
- The daily running of the office (admin, paying bills, managing filing system and secure database, managing the monthly financials etc),
- Co-ordinating the helpline volunteers & answering the helpline (when trained) if necessary.
- Co-ordinating & managing fundraising ideas & events, facilitating training courses & seminars.
- Pro-actively maintaining the website & social media.
Applicants should be self-motivated, computer literate, a good & empathetic communicator, an efficient administrator & have a strong passion & understanding for achieving JAAR's aims & objectives.
