Jersey Action Against Rape (JAAR) is proud to be part of the first-ever Jersey International Blues Festival, taking place on 15–16 May 2026, and we warmly invite you to join us for this landmark event.
As a new addition to Jersey’s cultural calendar, the festival brings together music, community, and celebration in a shared space for islanders and visitors alike. For JAAR, it is also an important opportunity to raise awareness about sexual violence, share information about our services, and connect with the community in an open and accessible environment.
We encourage everyone attending the festival to visit our stand, meet our team, and learn more about the support available locally. Whether you want to find out more about our work, pick up resources, or simply show solidarity, your presence helps strengthen awareness and understanding across the island.
We are also looking for volunteers to support us across the festival weekend. Volunteering with JAAR is a meaningful way to contribute to your community, help raise awareness, and support survivors in a safe, respectful, and trauma-informed setting. No prior experience is necessary—just a willingness to help and a commitment to our values.
We know that conversations around sexual violence can be difficult, but they are essential. By coming together at events like this, we can help reduce stigma, increase understanding, and ensure more people know where to turn for support.
We are grateful to the organisers for creating this exciting new festival and for offering a welcoming and inclusive space for the island.
We look forward to seeing you at the first Jersey International Blues Festival on 15–16 May 2026.
